Difference between cute and fine
A friend of mine this morning texted me and asked me a question in regards to a topic for a radio station that he works for. What is the difference between fine and cute? I thought on it for a while and my response to him is below.
Well speaking from a woman's perspective. In a person male or female I feel that a cute is with kids or even with young adults. I find with saying cute you might admire something that a person might have on or just the way a person might smile. Now when I think of someone fine man or woman. To me they are looking good head to toe. For a brother, nothing turns me on more than a wonderful smile WITHOUT gold teeth and on top of that, he has ALL of his teeth.
He can be in some nice jeans that are not sagging or looking wonderful in a suit, especially a three-piece kind. For women, to me its a lady that knows how to balance herself out. The clothes she puts on, they don't wear her, she wears them. I'm not talking hoochie mama shorts or some cut off shirt. A lady with class.
Yet you know what is the bow on the package? The conversation that they present to me. I love to have my brain neurons fire off on an interesting subject. I can talk from video games to a good ole book any day. Make me more intrigued with you by the end of our conversation and I'll say you are more than fine, you might almost be perfect.
So my question for you all out there, what is the difference between cute and fine to you?
Until the next episode....

Well today was my last day of work for the 2011-2012 school year and boy does it feel GREAT! On my last day I mainly went back over some other things to make sure everything was ok. Registration packets done, Lockers flipped for the new year, final report cards mailed out, notices to those parents who still have fines, Student profile sheets for my middle school updated, OTHER student profile sheets that are NOT for the middle school....well that will be on the todo list when I get back....

Susan Komen Saint Louis Walk for the Cure 2012 recap
This morning I woke up around 4:30am to get ready for the Susan Komen Saint Louis Walk for the Cure. I have been volunteering for the Walk since 2006. I do it to honor my mom who beat breast cancer back in 2005.

Starting over.....
Well last Saturday I went to my old gym and worked out for a hour on various machines and yesterday I did a zumba class. I had not been to that gym in almost a year. Within that same time frame I had tried other things such as boxing last year that I loved but had to let go because of conflicts with other things. Within that same time frame I gained back all the weight I lost as well as accumulated more. I forgot all my good eating habits and my always constant battle with depression had escalated.

Recipe to try: Honey Glazed Chicken
Honey Glazed Chicken - finished product |
Yesterday my mother and I decided to try out a recipe called Honey Glazed Chicken. She stated it was something she had heard about on the Food network and decided to give it a whirl. So I went upstairs to the computer and found 3 different recipes on it but we eventually decided to go with this one from AllRecipes.com. We followed the directions closely but as usual my mom likes to make slight "variations" with recipes.

Trials and tribulations with technology - part 2
What you see in the picture above is what I was reduced to having to buy for my job earlier this week when the servers at my job went bonkers back on Thursday. Earlier this week on Monday I had a PC scare when I tried to log on to my computer and it didn't recognize my profile which essentially had a crap load of work on my C drive. I said a prayer, rebooted the PC and it came back just fine.

Don't come at me sideways.......
Today at work was an uneventful day until this afternoon... I had a parent calling because she was upset and ticked off about the fine notice her student received. Pretty much it stated that the fines that the student had accumulated needed to be paid for the school year. She immediately went into a rant about how she could care less about the letter and didn't plan on paying the fines. Now she isn't the 1st parent to complain about this and I have NO DOUBT that she will be the last. But what really yanked my chain was her attitude and how she told me that she had plenty of other bills to worry about without having to worry about this one.

It's always good to mix things up once in a while..
Yesterday evening I hooked up with my girl Thisha and we went to a Mixxer in the Delmar Loop area. It was for people to meet the latest and upcoming in Saint Louis in regards to Fashion, Makeup, & Hair. This event was hosted by a good friend Patricia Moore who is a makeup artist who owns REFLECTIONS Makup Artistry and I wanted to make sure to come out and support.

Oh happy day:)
Well today I woke up tired and nervous. Tired because it was a Thursday and nervous because I was finally gonna have my first hair appointment since my big chop. I had been maintaining my hair myself since then by daily morning conditioner washings followed by some Jojoba oil, Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey, and then followed by a light spritzing of Carol's Daughter Tui Moisturizing Hair Sheen. Let my hair air dry and then I was on my way.
Well today after having a smooth day at work I decided to head to my new salon a head of time so I could get a feeling for the area and more importantly scope out parking:) I find a spot and make my way on in. The inside of this establishment is NICE------->2 thumbs up:)

Happy Bday Dad! oh and it's also my 500th post:)
Now
Well today is my dad's birthday. He's been around for quite some time but if you looked at him, you wouldn't believe it:) I've written about my dad before on my blog, heck probably more than a few times. But to get a glimpse of what type of man he is, just read this previous post. So this morning I put his card on the stove and told him happy birthday. I know this week some family members and friends will get together and go out for dinner on Friday. My dad is an amazing man who has quite simply done some extraordinary things;)

Getting back on the saddle
Yesterday I went biking outside for the first time in about 10 years. For the past month I had been getting the urge to get back on my bike. So I went out to Creve Couer Park and did about 4 miles in 45 min.
Considering I had not done this in (again) 10 years, I was pretty proud of myself. I did find out through this first bike ride that I needed to take my bike to a shop and get it tuned up BADLY. I noticed when I went riding that my tires were almost flat even though I had put air in them. My seat would slide down even after adjusting. So I took my bike to R.E.I. out in Brentwood yesterday evening and I tell ya their customer service was top notch.
