So this past Valentine's Day was the beginning of my birthday weekend. My birthday was yesterday but I like to enjoy myself right on up to the official day. Unfortunately I was pretty much solo in regards to the Valentine's Day part but it was a Staff Development Day at the job so I was able to get some work done and somewhat relax:) Around lunch time I decided to to treat myself to some Cheesecake Factory. I ordered one of my favs, Lemon Herb Roasted chicken. So I finally get back to the office with about 10 minutes to spare to scarf down my food before I going into a staff meeting.
Around 12:30pm I go into the staff meeting and I really thought that we were going to start talking about...ya know....staff stuff. Well my boss surprised the heck out of me and a co-worker with a great looking cake and the staff sang Happy Birthday to us:)

So for about 15 minutes we just enjoyed ourselves with conversation and some awesome cake. Afterwards I went back over to my office area and just thought what a great start to my birthday week. I'm so lucky to work with such great people.
So after leaving early to run an errand I went home to relax for a while before heading out again and went to the STL Galleria to just walk around and enjoy the sights. I ended my evening at Ami's Italian Resturant with a New York steak strip sandwich and some veggies.
As I was making my way home a favorite song of mine, "Happy" by Pharell Williams came on and I turned up the music and sang my heart out while driving down Highway I-170 with a big ole smile on my face.
Until the next episode....
