This past Saturday I had the opportunity to participate in the Wintermarkt hosted by the Skinker-Debaliver Community Center. A friend of mine who happens to be a mentor to one of my students suggested the opportunity and I decided to give it a try and I am so happy that I did. I arrived around 9am to get my vendor area set up. I thought I was dressed pretty warmly for the weather but I will definitely remember next year to wear a pair of my UGGS.
Around 10:30am people were coming through and I was chit chatting with folks that were coming around. At first my selling was happening sporadically. But then around 1:00pm there was a big crowd of people (150+) and I was churning out sales at a steady stream. I was also running a sale on my 4oz jars, 3 for $25. So overall I sold at least 30 jars, if I did my math correctly. There were plenty of other vendors there including my friend Terry who is the owner of Old Ways Soap. I love her soap they are flippin fantastic and I highly recommend them.

I received a lot of compliments on my table setup and choice of colors.
Besides the other vendors there was also music being performed on the stage. From Jazz music, Christmas carols, and even some Irish dancing. There were free refreshments being provided by volunteers to the vendors. Also there was a bar-b-q pit going for hotdogs and some desserts and pretzels were being sold as well. I had a great time! So around 3:50pm I started to pack up because other vendors were also packing as well. I checked out with the main office and dropped off my table, chair, and vendor bag back to my storage unit and then proceeded to go over my sister's house to help put up her christmas tree. Needlessly to say I didn't get home until 11pm that night. Ask me if I was tired? The answer is, YES!
So to Terry I say THANK YOU for suggesting this event. I will definitely put it on my calendar for future vendor opportunities.
