The things you will do for your homework assignments. This past Halloween I decided to dress up as a voodoo priestess for my Photography class. We had an assignment to dress up so we could take pictures of each other. So I decided to raid my closet along with buy a few other items to bring my outfit together. I also decided to go to the nail salon and have my hands and toes painted for the occasion.
I also spent a considerable amount of time at a Halloween store in Sunset Hills to buy makeup which in the end I didn't even use....
I wanted to make my outfit as authentic as possible so I went to JoAnn Fabrics and bought 3 yards of cloth for my head, Earthbound for my ring and anklet wrappings. My shawl from a boutique in Kirwood, and my makeup I did myself with an eyeliner pencil from Sephora along with my lipstick and lashes. The necklace was from a vintage market earlier this year.
Throughout the day I received compliments on my outfit and especially at my Photography class. I wish I had brought the walking staff that I have at home. It would have been the icing on the cake. Overall I had a blast dressing up. It's been a while since I've dressed up for Halloween. Who knows, I might do it again next year:)
After class was over, I went home and applied a makeover cream (IT - Bye Bye Makeup) that I bought from Sephora. It worked wonders!
