So today my lil sister is 35 years old. She has accomplished so much. She is an entrepreneur, homeowner, and a college graduate who will by the end of this year attain her Masters in Business. So she wanted to celebrate her birthday with a photo shoot that we had this past Sunday. Originally we were scheduled to shoot in our parent's neighborhood but as soon as we made it to our location, it started to rain. She had to run back home to grab her second outfit so I suggested we go out to Forest Park's World Pavilion and shoot there instead.
Thankfully by the time we arrived out there, the rain had stopped and we went to work. I learned right off the bat I'm going to need to get a bigger bag, so I'm not dealing with multiple bags....ugh.
So she was in her first outfit and we tooks some pics. Thankfully I still had my rental lenses from my cousin's party the night before, so I had some options with focal lengths. Yet I always hope that nothing goes wrong but unfortunately we did hit a bit of a snafu when one of her birthday balloons came undone and went flying to the ceiling of the World Pavilion. Needless to say she was not happy.
So after taking a slight break and getting a replacement balloon, we made it back over to Forest Park to finish her pictures and just in the knick of time. The rain started to drizzle when we did the confetti shoot.
I know people use hashtags on the internet and thought it would be great for those who are family and friends to dig into their treasure trove of memories and upload them on Facebook and/or Instagram and use the hashtag #KINGDI35. I chose that hashtag because whenever I think of my younger sis I see someone who marches to her drum. She doesn't do anything half ass. If she can't do something the way she wants, she doesn't bother. Yea she has the long nails but don't think that will stop her from making a fist if she has to. Yet her fist isn't what you have to worry about. It's that tongue that cuts like a knife paired with her intellect that you should admire/fear the most. She will give you the truth even when you don't want to hear it. If you appreciate it you might learn something, if not, she will send you off to lick your wounds. Is she perfect? Far from it, but she is like a fine wine, getting better with age.
So on this special day which more than likely she will drag out for the rest of the damn month, I say Happy Birthday. I love you and I wish you many, many more.
